The Deep Splash is an online video platform producing and commissioning new videos centered on and around the concept of migration and exile. It started as a series of interviews with Lithuanian émigré artists, and soon expanded into conversations, studio visits and a showcase of video works by multinational artists, often based in several places at the same time. The ongoing archive of The Deep Splash can be seen as a constellation, a form of synthetic thinking, a video channel constantly layering new videos, questioning the very concept of national identity, migration and morphing of ideas, modes of artistic production and – sharing sources of inspiration.
